As a Maintenance Engineer M/F/D you will report to the Facilities manager in the manufacturing based in Telford  for a Permanent contract.

What you will do? 

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Diagnose faults in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular inspections and safety checks.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and optimize processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory, updating schedules and logs.
  • Provide technical support to junior team members and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve production goals.

 

What about you? 

  • You are qualified with Performing Engineering Operations (PEO Level 2), an Engineering Apprenticeship, or an HNC/HND, NVQ Level 3, or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • You have proven experience in maintenance engineering within a manufacturing or industrial environment, with hands-on experience in mechanical systems, electrical systems, and PLCs.
  • You are skilled in problem-solving and troubleshooting, with the ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and machine manuals.
  • You have proficiency in using maintenance tools and diagnostic equipment, and experience in tooling maintenance (lathe, milling, surface grinding) is a plus.
  • You are detail-oriented, with strong organizational, time management, and IT skills (Microsoft Office, Teams, Web shops), and possess excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Hours: 37.5h Monday to Friday - double day shift (6:00 – 14:00 / 14:00 – 22:00) + Overtime
