We are currently looking for our future Project Sales Manager based in Sydney, NSW for a permanent contract.

 

As a Project Sales Manager (m/f/d) you are responsible for the improvement of the profitable market penetration of energy distribution, energy management, protection and wiring accessories offered by Hager Electro within your territory and to meet designated sales targets. In your work you utilize BCI and other market intelligence and you identify contstruction projects that match our capabilities. 

 

Your mission

  • Within targeted construction projects, you identify and build relationships with the key stakeholders such as the electrical contractors, architects, electrical consultants/ specifiers, electrical engineers and utilities
  • You promote Hager Electro products and services to all key stakeholders in particular electrical contractors and estimators to achieve the maximum solution
  • You liaise between key Electrical Wholesale Project Branches, their Major Contractors and Swith Board Builders to identify and create project opportunities
  • You coordinate training activities for contractors, consulting engineers and specifiers' as required in conjunction with the Training Manager
  • To establish a budget and to monitor performance and reports on results, you collaborate with the State Sales Manager & National Specification Manager 
  • You develop a project pipeline that is aligned with the revenue targets, year on year
  • You plan and monitor own territory management/ customer call patterns by week and by month with in particular the electrical contractors and all project stakeholders
  • To maintain a high profile, you monitor customer relations and the Company's image and take relevant actions 
  • You participate in sales forecasting and business planning in conjunction with the National Project Sales Manager & State Manager
  • You provide project management service for orders from customers including negotiation and resolution
  • You ensure on time supply through tracking and facilitate the progress of orders through all internal departments of the organisation by utilising project specific systems and applications in line with a provided after sales service and follow-up on the customers ensuring their expectations are met
  • You prepare monthly reports on business calls and related activities including complaints and questions in regard to products, sales trends, project summaries, and industry construction reports as well as budget report 
  • You maintain control of your own selling expenses and complete expense claims on a monthly basis
  • On a yearly basis you prepare Sales and Promotion Plans for your territory 

 

Your profile

Must Have Requirements:

  • You will have successfully completed a degree and/or tertiary electro technical training and hold an electrical trade certificate with the ability to read single line diagrams and complex electrical plans
  • Have a minimum of 3 years' experience with a proven selling ability in a position within the Electrical wholesale market to meet our expectations
  • Demonstrate well estabilshed relationships in the tier 2 and 3 Electrical Contractor Market, the Electrical Wholesale Market and the Switch Board Building Market 

You will also need to demonstrate: 

  • Your experience within the technical/ trade area enables you to estabilsh yourself within our organisation and the market in a short period of time
  • You have sound product knowledge of low voltage electrical distribution including switchboard building and knowledge of the relevant standards for NSW/ ACT
  • As an experienced Sales Manager you have proven your selling and marketing skills multiple times
  • You are highly customer-oriented and complete & maitain our CRM
  • As a team player, you collaborate with your sales colleagues to maximise potential sales aligned to the projects in the pipeline
  • You have strong communication skills and the ability to convince 
  • Your analytical skills enable you to prepare reports and forecasts
