We are currently looking for a permanent position of Group Direct Sourcing Senior Director m/f/d for our location Blieskastel (Germany) or Obernai (France).

Missions
The incumbent will be responsible for the development and execution of the global sourcing strategy throughout leading, managing, and development of the global  sourcing department with more than 80 people  (managers, buyers, and special-matter experts) located in Europe and APAC region. The direct sourcing department comprises the global direct sourcing activities (including Categories and technical sourcing, NPI activities, traded goods, GPO market intelligence and sustainability) of the entire Hager Group, comprising an annual purchase spend of more than 900 million Euro per annum.

• Defines global direct sourcing strategy with its goals, objectives derived from Hager Group strategy. Execute the sourcing strategy throughout formal plans and initiatives aiming to improve costs, quality, and supplier performance.
• Leverage, development and manage of a global supply base that will deliver the appropriate value contribution for current and new products and solutions.
• Enabling our customers to take advantage of global sourcing opportunities through Best Value Procurement (BVP).
• Define and organize New product introduction (NPI) activities by enabling the development of new products and innovations by the Applications Centres and Business Units throughout identifying and selecting corresponding external sources providing innovation and technology aiming to create a competitive advantage for the Hager Group derived from its supply base.  
• Anticipates and share market insights and developments to enable sourcing managers and stakeholders of the group to make important business decisions based on analysis and results provided.
• Develop, apply, and monitor a global risk management system that supports to anticipate global supply market risks related to major categories and strategic suppliers. Conduct periodic business reviews with strategic suppliers during which business risks will be determined and evaluated, and initiatives for risk mitigation will be deployed.
   

Profile

You have:

• An engineering school or Master degree
• More than 15 years experience in sourcing for a global acting company in size and complexity compared with the Hager Group
• More than 5 years experience in developing and managing global sourcing teams

• Strong leadership and people management skills within a multicultural business environment
• Strong strategy orientation and customer oriented
• Proven track record in development and implementation of global procurement strategies derived from group strategies generating a clear value contribution beyond traditional KPI's.
• Deep understanding of production processes and technologies of sourcing categories.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. French and/or german is a plus.
