You will be based in La Roca del Vallès (Barcelona, Spain) and report to the Engineering Manager as part of the Engineering department, for a V.I.E. contract of 1 year, extendable to 2 years.
This opportunity offers significant exposure to innovation and sustainability initiatives in plastic materials, providing a strong foundation for an international engineering career.

 

What you will do?

  • Be responsible for all topics related to plastic materials within Engineering, with a focus on electrical enclosures.
  • Assist in the lifecycle management of plastic products: from selection and design to manufacturing, qualification, and recycling.
  • Support material testing, document preparation, and test result analysis to ensure alignment with standards and sustainability goals.
  • Collaborate closely with international experts and cross-functional teams to optimize material selection for new and existing products.
  • Participate in validation and injection lab tests, gaining hands-on experience in product and process qualification.
  • Contribute to supplier interactions and research activities to identify new materials, cost-saving opportunities, and technological improvements.
  • Use data analysis tools (e.g., SAP, Excel) to track materials usage and performance indicators.

 

What about you?

  • You have a degree in Plastic Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a similar field.
  • You have initial experience or academic exposure to material testing and sustainable plastics.
  • You are fluent in English; additional languages like Spanish are a plus.
  • You are analytical, proactive, and passionate about innovation and sustainability.
  • You have strong communication and teamwork skills and are comfortable working in a cross-cultural environment.
  • You are open to hands-on tasks and motivated by continuous learning.

What are the recruitment stages?

  • Once your CV has been selected, you will be contacted by a recruiter for an initial phone exchange.
  • You will then be invited to a first interview with the hiring manager and recruiter.
  • You'll get the chance to showcase your skills by preparing and presenting a technical case to the Hiring Manager and Local HRBP.
  • A final interview will be organized with the Head of Engineering and the Early Careers team.

  • You must be a citizen of one of the Member States of the European Economic Area.
  • You must not be a citizen of the host country (in this case, Spain).
  • You must be between 18 and 28 years of age.
  • You must not have done a V.I.E. in the past.
