New Zealand Country Sales Manager

The New Zealand Country Sales Manager reports directly to the Managing Director Pacific based in Australia.

 

As a Country Sales Manager, you are responsible for leading and developing Hager’s business in the New Zealand market, driving sustainable growth, strengthening market share, and ensuring profitable performance while preparing the organisation for long-term success.

 

Your mission

  • Define and execute the sales and market development strategy to grow the Hager brand in New Zealand
  • Lead and coordinate all sales, marketing, and commercial activities to achieve short- and mid-term targets
  • Develop and manage the annual sales and marketing business plan, including budget and performance monitoring
  • Drive customer-centric growth by strengthening key account relationships and developing new opportunities
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the New Zealand team in line with Hager’s People Cycle and business objectives
  • Act as role model for Hager values, sustainability (E3), ethics, and health & safety compliance

 

Your profile

  • Several (8-10) years of experience in sales or business development, including at least three years in a leadership role
  • Proven track record in achieving and exceeding sales and profitability targets
  • Strong understanding of the New Zealand market; electrical wholesale background preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership capability in managing multi-functional teams and complex operations
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including budget management and P&L understanding
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills with high resilience and adaptability
