We are looking for our future Sourcing Specialist (m/f/d) Plastic Raw Material based in Blieskastel or Obernai for a permanent contract.

As a Sourcing Specialist (m/f/d) Plastic Raw Material you have got the responsibility for your category including the development, support and implementation of strategic sourcing initiatives for plastic resins, PVC, chemicals and additives globally across all production plants of the Hager Group.

Your mission

• You apply category strategies, based on a deep understanding of the company vision and deriving global sourcing mission, to the relevant sourcing markets to provide a competitive advantage throughout sourcing and leveraging global supply markets
• With your problem-solving skills and your strong goal-orientation you respond to unforeseen supply events in collaboration with manufacturing and our suppliers to avoid supply chain interruptions
• As part of your strategy you develop market intelligence for your categories and perform supplier evaluations by applying best practice methodologies
• You are accountable for the development and maintenance of the Supplier Panel including continuous assessments of any risks derived from concerned suppliers and/or related markets
• You observe and analyse the sourcing market and identify trends and innovations in the supplier environment
• With the help of your excellent negotiation skills and your deep understanding of the category you draft, negotiate and apply supply contracts with suppliers

Your profile

• You hold a Bachelor degree in Business Administration/ Supply Chain Management or Mechanical Engineering for a technical background and a better understanding of the category and the industrial environment
• First experience in sourcing for a global acting company or an adequate function closely acting with vendors and/or suppliers helps you to develop sourcing strategies
• Because of your purchasing experience you are familiar with the development and implementation of global procurement strategies, supplier evaluation and market intelligence
• In line with your strong customer orientation and purchasing background, you are used to work within an international and multi-cultural environment and willing to travel globally to suppliers and to Hager plants (approximately 20% of working time)
• As a team player you are team oriented and you have got excellent written and oral communication skills 
• To communicate with your international colleagues and suppliers you speak fluent English and German, French language skills would be considered as an asset
