We are currently looking for our future Category Manager (m/f/d) CAPEX based in Blieskastel or Obernai for a permanent contract.

As a Category Manager (m/f/d) CAPEX you will ensure that our international manufacturing sites use "state of the art" technologies focusing on the category plastic.

By selecting machines and equipment with low energy consumption, you contribute to reducing our carbon footprint. By negotiating adequate contracts, you will reduce the life cycle costs of our capital goods to a minimum.

Your mission

• Sourcing of capital goods incl. associated after sales requirements for the Hager Group locations
• Execution and support of tenders, offer analyses and negotiations as well as contract preparation and conclusion
• Execution of orders as well as their monitoring and supplementary/requirement management
• Close cooperation with internal customers and process optimisation with business partners
• Creation and maintenance of measurable key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve customer satisfaction of the assigned portfolio and/or the assigned suppliers
• Observation and analysis of the sourcing market, identification of trends and innovations in the supplier environment
• Advance digital collaboration with our suppliers based on our applied e-solutions

Your profile

• University degree in economics or engineering
• Several years of sound professional experience in the field of tactical and strategic sourcing of capital goods
• Very good knowledge of contract law as well as good technical understanding
• Very good knowledge of German, French and English (written and spoken)
• ​​​Communication especially negotiation and presentation skills 
• Analytical and key figure-oriented approach, understanding of processes
• Independent, responsible, solution-oriented and strong implementation skills
• Team orientation combined with assertiveness
• Interest and experience in an international and multicultural working environment
