As a Market Manager - Residential Energy Distribution you will report to Country Merketing Manager based in Sydney, NSW for a permanent contract.
The Market Manager - Residential Energy Distribution is responsible for a key category within residential energy distribution. You drive market growth, strengthen our value proposition, and ensure competitive, customer-focused solutions that support sales and profitability.
Your responsibilities
Market & strategy
- Analyze market segments, trends, and growth opportunities
- Understand customer needs, competitor positioning, and industry developments
- Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations
- Track technological trends within the electrical and energy sector
Product & solution development
- Define and shape product and solution offerings based on market needs
- Build business cases and identify growth opportunities across the product lifecycle
- Contribute to product development through market insights and customer feedback
- Translate market requirements into technical specifications
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external authorities for approvals
Go-to-market execution
- Develop and implement go-to-market plans in collaboration with sales
- Support product launches, category initiatives, and sales activities
- Deliver training and provide technical support to internal teams
- Participate in customer events and strengthen market engagement
Stakeholder collaboration
- Work closely with sales, solution development, and quality teams
- Support communication strategies to engage and activate customers
- Contribute to cross-functional processes such as S&OP
Pricing & performance management
- Define pricing strategies aligned with market and margin objectives
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and performance tracking
- Monitor sales, margins, and market share development
- Identify and implement corrective actions where needed
Your profile
- Degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field
- Proven experience in product or market management, ideally within the electrical or energy sector
- Strong knowledge of low-voltage (LV) power distribution and the industry landscape
- Good understanding of Australian and international electrical standards
- Commercial mindset combined with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
- Customer-focused and results-driven approach
- Ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Collaborative mindset and ability to drive initiatives across teams
