As a Category Sourcing Management Specialist you will report to Plant Quality Manager based in Huizhou  for a Permanent contract.

Position Objective:
The Strategic Sourcing & Supply Chain Engineer is responsible for developing and managing the supplier base in China, ensuring cost competitiveness, supply security, and long-term strategic partnerships for key components (Inverter + Battery).
Key Responsibilities： 
1.    Strategic Sourcing
a.    Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for key components (e.g., batteries, PCB assemblies, die casting, displays)
b.    Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives
c.    Conduct market analysis and benchmarking for cost and supplier capabilities
d.    Drive supplier negotiations in collaboration with procurement
2.    Supplier Development & Management
a.    Build and maintain long-term relationships with strategic suppliers
b.    Evaluate supplier capabilities, capacities, and technological competencies
c.    Support supplier development initiatives to improve performance (cost, quality, delivery)
d.    Manage supplier risk and ensure supply chain resilience
3.    Cost Optimization
a.    Analyze and optimize product and component costs across the supply chain
b.    Identify cost-saving opportunities through design-to-cost, value engineering, and process improvements
c.    Support cost breakdown analysis and negotiations
4. Supply Chain Coordination
a. Ensure alignment between suppliers, procurement, and internal stakeholders
b. Support demand planning, capacity planning, and supply continuity
c. Monitor and mitigate supply chain risks (e.g., bottlenecks, geopolitical factors)
5. Project & Industrialization Support
a. Support sourcing activities in new product development projects
b. Ensure timely availability of components during ramp-up phases
c. Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to ensure supplier readiness
Qualifications and Requirements： 
Technical Qualifications:
a.    Degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or comparable
b.    Strong understanding of supply chain management and strategic sourcing
c.    Knowledge of manufacturing technologies such as PCB assembly, battery production, and die casting
d.    Experience with cost analysis and supplier evaluation methods
Professional Experience:
a.    Several years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management
b.    Experience in international supply chains, preferably within China
c.    Experience in the solar, inverter, or battery industry is a strong advantage
Personal Competencies:
a.    Strong negotiation and analytical skills
b.    Strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution capability
c.    High level of ownership and accountability
d.    Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Language Skills:
a.    Business fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin)
b.    Good German language skills are an advantage
