As a National Sales Director you will report to the S&M Managing Director - Senior Manager ASEAN Region based in Shah Alam, Malaysia for a permanent contract.

 

As a National Sales Director, you are responsible for leading and developing the country sales organization to achieve sustainable business growth, drive sales excellence, and strengthen channel performance in alignment with strategic objectives.

 

Your mission

  • Achieve and exceed key performance targets, including annual turnover and SPE budget
  • Improve pricing performance and reduce margin erosion
  • Lead, steer, and continuously monitor the performance of the national Sales Team
  • Establish structured reporting for weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reviews
  • Develop and execute the business plan, including strategic direction, target setting, and key initiatives
  • Ensure effective pipeline management and high forecast accuracy (>95%)
  • Drive sales productivity and implement continuous improvement initiatives
  • Define and optimize channel strategy, including partner focus and growth opportunities
  • Manage and develop distributor and sub-dealer networks, including engagement and retention tracking
  • Build and execute key account plans with clear value propositions and action plans
  • Implement distributor rebate and channel development programs in collaboration with internal stakeholders
  • Strengthen Sales Team capabilities, including skills and product knowledge development
  • Plan and manage succession for key sales positions

 

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Sales and Channel Management
  • Strong understanding of key stakeholders such as Distributors, System Integrators, Consultants, and End Users
  • Proven experience in customer segmentation and market development
  • Solid knowledge of the Malaysian market and its diversity
  • Strong results orientation with a focus on excellence and performance
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change and drive strategic initiatives
  • Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • High level of motivation, autonomy, and accountability
  • Strong process orientation and discipline
  • Fluent in English
