As a Category Sourcing Management Specialist (m/f/d) Plastic you will be based in Blieskastel (Germany), Obernai (France) or Bierun / Tychy (Poland) for a permanent contract.
The Sourcing deputy, Global Sourcing, serves as a strategic advisor and operational partner to the Vice President, Global Sourcing, supporting the leadership and performance of a global sourcing organization of approximately 150 employees managing +1 billion€ in annual spend.
This role is responsible for driving strategic initiatives, ensuring execution excellence, strengthening organizational effectiveness, and enabling cross-functional collaboration across Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, and executive leadership teams. Acting as an extension of the VP Global Sourcing, the sourcing deputy ensures alignment between strategic priorities and operational execution while fostering a high-performance culture across the organization.
The Sourcing Deputy acts as the integrator of the Global Sourcing function, ensuring end-to-end alignment across strategy, execution, and organizational performance.
Mission
- Partner with the VP Global Sourcing to define and execute the global sourcing strategy and annual operating plan.
- Drive strategic initiatives, ensuring clear priorities, accountability, and successful execution.
- Act as a trusted advisor and support executive decision-making through governance, analytics, and recommendations.
- Lead performance management by monitoring KPIs, business reviews, and value creation initiatives.
- Coordinate cross-functional projects and foster alignment across global and regional teams.
- Drive transformation, continuous improvement, and digital procurement initiatives.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships and ensure effective communication across the organization.
Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, strategy, consulting, operations, or comparable environments.
- Experience in Chief of Staff, Strategy, Consulting, or Program Management roles is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of strategic sourcing, procurement, and supply chain management.
- Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication, executive presentation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Proven ability to lead complex programs and influence stakeholders in global matrix organizations.
