As a Functional Controller (m/f/d) Marketing & Sales Group you will report to the Finance & Controlling Business Partner Director Sales & Marketing based in Blieskastel (Germany) or Obernai (France) for a Fixed term contract (24 months).
We are looking for a Functional Controller (m/f/d) to join our Marketing & Sales Controlling organization. Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Sales Controlling, you will play a pivotal role in supporting business steering across an international environment and helping bring together insights from a community of around 40 controlling professionals.
This is a high-visibility position at the heart of business performance management, offering broad exposure to senior stakeholders, strategic topics and decision-making processes across the Group.
Your mission
As a trusted partner to the Marketing & Sales Controlling leadership team, you will help ensure a consistent, fact-based understanding of business performance across markets and operating models.
Your role will combine performance analysis, coordination and close collaboration with stakeholders across the Marketing & Sales organization.
You will:
- Support coordination of recurring reporting, forecasting and planning activities across the Marketing & Sales Controlling community.
- Contribute to the preparation of management reviews, executive presentations.
- Consolidate and connect insights from multiple markets and business areas to provide a holistic view of business performance and emerging trends.
- Challenge results, assumptions and conclusions through a broader business perspective, leveraging performance indicators, market trends and cross-country benchmarks.
- Identify deviations, opportunities and areas of concern requiring further investigation or management attention.
- Drive discussions with local controllers and stakeholders to better understand underlying business drivers and performance trends.
- Coordinate ad-hoc analyses and cross-functional requests involving multiple countries and functions.
- Ensure consistency in key performance indicators, reporting methodologies and performance management practices across the organization.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Marketing & Sales Controlling community.
- Act as a trusted sparring partner for local controlling teams and senior management.
What You Bring ?
- Several years of experience in Functional Controlling or Performance Management.
- Solid financial and accounting background combined with a strong business mindset.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to step back from the numbers to identify key messages, trends and business implications.
- Good understanding of commercial and operational business drivers.
- Ability to connect information from different sources and translate complexity into actionable insights.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable working in an international and multicultural environment.
- Ability to challenge constructively while building trust and credibility.
- Structured, reliable and pragmatic approach.
- Fluent in English
- Advanced user of Microsoft Office applications, SAP and BI solutions, with a strong data analysis and reporting mindset.
