We are currently looking for a Manager (m/f/d) Portfolio Performance based in Blieskastel, Frankfurt or Obernai for a permanent contract.
The Hager Group has recently adapted its operating model towards a cross-functional matrix organization with a decision making product portfolio organization to better address future growth and customer centricity. A small central PMO has been mandated to support the product portfolio heads with consistent structures, methods and processes to gain detailed transparency about portfolio performance and optimization potentials and to drive the change towards an end-to-end accountability.

As a Manager Portfolio Performance (m/f/d), your primary objective is to increase business focus and active portfolio management with a special focus on eliminating the bad complexity longtail. Reporting to the E2E PMO Director, the Manager Portfolio Performance will provide relevant insights through business intelligence and data mining and improve the performance of the business closely with and for the product portfolio directors.
What You Will Do
- Carrying out portfolio performance analyses to focus (incl. portfolio pruning), to optimize (incl. platform/modularization, pricing, cross-selling potentials) and to make core portfolio resilient and competitive
- Create product performance analysis and business analytics framework for active and tool-assisted portfolio management, that includes the deployment of business intelligence (BI) and data mining across product marketing departments
- Coordinate all level of management to gather, analyze, to challenge the status quo and to prepare business improvement decisions in close alignment with the portfolio directors
- Set-up portfolio performance KPI dashboard to monitor progress and report on portfolio management
- Further development of PMO or business analytics/modeling and definition of additional structures and required competencies
What You Will Bring
- Highly detail-oriented, analysts must possess strong analytical backgrounds and also needs to be effective communicators as their role is to guide the business
Common skills and attributes that are most needed for this role include:
- Business Degree in economics, finance, engineering preferrable with MBA
- Min 7 years’ relevant working experience in Product Portfolio Management of electronical industries, Finance Sector or Management Consulting
- Strong commercial acumen maintaining a keen focus on top-/bottom line improvements and complexity reduction, combining strategic and strong analytical capabilities with a results-focused approach
- Advanced business intelligence tools knowledge (Python, Power BI) and experience with data mining, predictive modelling and simulations
- Experienced in cross-functional and international team settings, communicating with various (top) management stakeholders and acting as a sparring and business partner for the portfolio heads
- Strong communication skills and ability to get complex ideas across in an easy-to-understand way.
- Fluency in English
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
