Manufacturing Global Process Owner Data Management
Role Purpose
The Global Process Owner – Manufacturing Data Management is accountable for defining, governing, and continuously improving the global manufacturing data landscape across Operations.
The position can be enriched with project management contributions in the Manufacturing or Industrialisation domain.
The role acts as the functional owner of Manufacturing data, ensuring that system data structures are standardised, accurate, and consistently aligned with real operational processes. This enables reliable decision-making, performance transparency, and scalable digital execution across all manufacturing sites.
The position operates at the interface of Operations, Processes, and Digital, requiring strong manufacturing domain knowledge to ensure that data governance translates into practical, executable solutions at shopfloor and plant level.
Key Accountabilities
- Define and govern global standards and principles for Manufacturing data
- Act as functional Data Owner for Manufacturing data, including scope definition, quality targets, and governance rules
- Own and structure work center, routing, and capacity data models across plants
- Ensure end-to-end alignment between system data and operational reality
- Drive data quality, consistency, and performance transparency through defined KPIs and governance routines
- Manage data lifecycle, ownership, and change governance across the manufacturing network
- Assess, prioritise, and coordinate new Manufacturing data requirements in alignment with Process Owners, Operations, and IT
- Represent Manufacturing in cross-functional data governance and decision forums
- Support plants in improving data accuracy, standards compliance, and effective system usage
- Build and sustain capabilities in Manufacturing data management, standards, and Lean Manufacturing practices
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of professional experience in manufacturing, operations, industrial, or data-driven environments
- Strong hands-on expertise in Manufacturing data (work centers, routings, capacity)
- Solid understanding of MES architectures and Manufacturing data flows
- Proven knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles
- Experience in data governance, master data management, or digital transformation initiatives
- Highly structured and analytical mindset with the ability to manage complex interdependencies
- Proven ability to operate effectively in a global, cross-functional environment
- Background in manufacturing engineering, industrialisation, or production environments
- Strong understanding of shopfloor processes and operational constraints
